Optically reconfigurable dielectric metamaterials
Optically reconfigurable dielectric metamaterials
We demonstrate femtosecond-laser-induced raster writing and erasing of dielectric metamaterial patterns using the phase-change mechanism in chalcogenide films. The technology is demonstrated by creating dynamically refocusable and chromatically correctable lenses and diffraction gratings.

Abstract
We demonstrate femtosecond-laser-induced raster writing and erasing of dielectric metamaterial patterns using the phase-change mechanism in chalcogenide films. The technology is demonstrated by creating dynamically refocusable and chromatically correctable lenses and diffraction gratings.
