Design of four-mode erbium doped fiber amplifier with low differential modal gain for modal division multiplexed transmissions
We present a practical four-mode erbium-doped fiber design (with reasonably good fabrication tolerance) incorporating two separate doped regions for low differential modal gain across all the signal modes using LP01p and LP41p pump modes only.
