Hsu (1981, 1984) derived simultaneous confidence intervals for all distances from the “best”. This article proposes simultaneous prediction intervals for all distances from the “best” for future observations under location model. The one-way ANOVA model is investigated as an illustration of the general result. Illustrative tables of critical values are given.

Abstract

Hsu (1981, 1984) derived simultaneous confidence intervals for all distances from the “best”. This article proposes simultaneous prediction intervals for all distances from the “best” for future observations under location model. The one-way ANOVA model is investigated as an illustration of the general result. Illustrative tables of critical values are given.
