A high performance GeO2/SiO2 NZ-DSF and the prospects for future improvement using holey fiber technology
A new type of GeO2/SiO2 NZ-DSF with an attenuation loss of 0.174dB/km, a dispersion slope of ~0.06ps/nm2km and an Aeff of ~70µm2 at 1.55µm have successfully been developed. Holey Fiber designs offering reduced dispersion slopes for similar Aeffs are also reported.
