Tm-doped KY(WO4)2 planar waveguide laser operating in the continuous-wave and Q-switched regimes
Waveguide lasing of a Tm:KY(WO4)2 epitaxial layer in a monolithic cavity is reported. The laser was operated at 2 µm in the Q-switched mode using Cr2+:ZnSe as saturable absorber and in the continuous-wave regime.
