New Yb:Hf-doped silica fiber for high-power fiber lasers
We report an efficient cladding-pumped Yb-doped HfO fiber laser that generated 122W of continuous-wave output power at 1.08µm with a slope efficiency of 74% with respect to the absorbed pump power.
