Hanzo, "Layered Multi-Group Steered Space-Time Shift-Keying for Millimeter-Wave Communications" IEEE, Access * Paper Abstract: We propose a novel multi-user Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) technique termed as the Layered Multi-Group Steered Space-Time Shift Keying (LMG-SSTSK) for the downlink of millimeter wave (mmWave) communications, which combines the concepts of Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO), Space-Time Shift Keying (STSK), beamforming and Orthogo-nal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) to simultaneously convey information to multiple users. The LMG-SSTSK tackles the propagation challenges of the high-attenuation mmWave frequencies by sub-dividing the users into multiple groups. The proposed system allows more users to be served simultaneously in the downlink over the same time-and frequency-resources than a system dispensing with the proposed grouping technique. * Project: The financial support of the EPSRC projects EP/Noo4558/1 and EP/L018659/1, as well as of the European Research Council’s Advanced Fellow Grant under the Beam-Me-Up project and of the Royal Society’s Wolfson Research Merit Award is gratefully acknowledged. * This DOI contains the datasets of Figures 6, 7 and 8 of the aforementioned paper. Each folder is named according to its content, where the cruves of each figure are stored in .dat files. The BER plots are represented by the Eb/N0, SNR and BER values as "Eb/N0 SNR BER". To regenerate the results, please use the Graphics Layout Engine (GLE), using the command "gle Figure.gle" * The embedded folders are as follows: - Figure-6: Contains the dataset of Figure 6. This figure shows the BER performance of the LMG-SSTSK system with 4 users over different number of sub-carriers N_sc. - Figure-7: Contains the dataset of Figure 7. This figure shows the BER performance of the LMG-SSTSK system serving 20 users distributed over 4 Groups G1, G2, G3 and G4, where G1=8 users, G2=6 users, G3=4 users and G4=2 users. - Figure-8: Contains the dataset of Figure 8. This figure shows the performance of the LMG-SSTSK system serving a single user group with 4 users with and without Analgoue beamforming each with and without baseband precoding.
