Stability of convective flow of ternary mixture in vertical layer
Instability mechanisms of steady plane-parallel convective flow of a ternary mixture with the Soret effect between two vertical rigid plates maintained at constant different temperatures with respect to finite wavelength perturbations are studied. Stability boundaries to different instability modes are obtained numerically by the differential sweep method. Full stability maps in the parameter plane Grashof number – net separation ratio are obtained for several positive values of separation ratios of the first solute.
