The data is presented for each figure in the paper (filenames are given accordingly). Using the data provided and normalisation parameters (where applicable), the plots in the paper could be reproduced. 
Column headings of the data are explained in the “Definitions” sheet of each data file. 

Further Information regarding the data files:

1. Data for figure 2 is given as separate files for each FST case and for each plot, i.e. top, middle and bottom plot.

2. Data for figure 3 is given in Fig3.xlsx for one representative case B. The data is given as instantaneous velocity from inner and outer probes as described in the paper.

3. Data for figure 5 is given for both cases in Fig5.xlsx. 

4. Data for figure 6 is given as Fig6.xlsx for all the symbols presented in the figure. The details of the FST cases represented by these symbols can be found in Dogan et al. 2016 J. Fluid Mech. 802, 79–107. (doi:10.1017/jfm.
