The excel file contains the quantitative data that we collected during our lab study, in which participants were assigned to one of the treatment groups: Agent and Random. The study approved by University of Southampton FPSE Ethics Committee (ref: 18082). The file includes 5 tabs: (1) questionnaire, (2) permissions changes, (3) quotes, (4) sharing and (5) happy regret. Questionnaire represents the subjective answers that user gave for the exit survey. Permission changes, quotes, sharing and happy/regret tabs involve the information based on interaction logs, including how many times the users made changes to the permissions setting, what data types the users shared and how many times they pressed the quote, happy and regret buttons. Scenarios file includes the different pricing scenarios used in the study. The first five characters (e.g., FFFFF) correspond to a data sharing setting (in the order of Contacts, Messages, Photos, Apps and History), and the number indicates how many points the setting is worth for. For example, "TFFFF 5" means that sharing only Contacts is worth 5 points. We used the first row from each scenario document to set the default setting for the users of random treatment.
