Multimode Raman pumping for power-scaling of large area higher order modes in fiber amplifiers
We present 18 dB peak Raman amplification of 60 ns, 1115 nm, LP08 mode pulse in a 9 m long fiber with 555 µm2 mode at ~36.7% depletion of the 1060 nm multimode pump pulse.
