Effects of large compressive-stresses on photosensitive optical fibres and Bragg gratings
Effects of large compressive-stresses on photosensitive optical fibres and Bragg gratings
A study on the effects of axial stresses in optical fibres is presented. Results show large induced losses dependent on core-composition and ultra-violet light exposure. Additionally a stress-induced increase in gratings-strength is observed.
