Self-assembled microsphere gratings on rib waveguides
We report the spectral transmission of a rib waveguide side-coupled to a self-assembled polystyrene microsphere array. A transmission stopband was observed at λ ~ 1590nm, showing the potential for realising wavelength-selective devices.
