Ytterbium-doped large-core fiber laser with 1 kW continuous-wave output power
We demonstrate a highly efficient cladding-pumped ytterbium-doped fiber laser. It generated up to 1 kW of continuous-wave output power at 1.1 µm with 80% slope efficiency and a good beam quality, when end-pumped through both fiber ends.
