L'esspressivita melodrammatica del corpo neorealista
L'esspressivita melodrammatica del corpo neorealista
This chapter considers the function of the body in neorealism, as an instrument of highly expressive feeling. It considers the importance of the body to understandings of the authenticity of neorealism, and argues that this is a fundamentally melodramatic property appropriate to the form of filmmaking prevalent in post-war Italian culture.
