DOI: 10.1177/0954409718762172 Contents +++++++++ This data set contains modeled and measured data for train passages used to explore the use of the cumulative distribution function to classify the range of total and downward deflection from train pass-by records obtained using inertial sensors for condition monitoring. The data was used for The dataset consists of XLS sheets containing measurements from a voided sleeper, a good sleeper and a model for a good sleeper, and data from continuous monitoring in named tabs. Data were used directly for Figures: 2, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 16. All others were generated from equations given in the manuscript. Geographic location of data collection: University of Southampton, U.K. and on an operational railway in the UK.
