Transimpedance amplifier arrangement and control module
Transimpedance amplifier arrangement and control module
A trans-impedance amplifier arrangement 205 receives an output from a photo-detector 207 and comprises a current monitoring circuit, e.g. a current mirror, to provide a signal dependent on a current through the photo-detector 207. An output 211 of the trans-impedance amplifier arrangement 205 is configured to output the current monitor signal to a control module 201 and to receive control information from the control module 201. The received control information may be compared with a predetermined code and, in dependence on the result of the comparing, configuration information may be provided to configurable modules of the trans-impedance amplifier 205. Information relating to configuration and operation of the trans-impedance amplifier 205 may be modulated onto the current monitor signal 211 to be transmitted to the control module 201.
