The grammar of the education video: putting pedagogy before production value
The grammar of the education video: putting pedagogy before production value
The use of video in the classroom has increased dramatically in the last decade and has been the attention of a significant amount of research. However, while the pedagogical use of video within a lesson has been explored, what is missing is a focus on the pedagogy within the video – the pedagogical style of the contents’ delivery. This session will synthesis the range of videos, textbooks and academic literature in an attempt to identify suitable pedagogical principles for the production of videos in education.
