56 Gbps GeSi Franz-Keldysh modulator for silicon photonic transceivers
We present experimental results of an EAM modulator for silicon photonic transceivers developed on an 800 nm GeSi platform. The device achieved dynamic ER of 5.2 dB at 56 Gb/s at 1566 nm and power consumption of 44 fJ/bit.
