New sources for real applications in the far infrared
New sources for real applications in the far infrared
Novel multiple quantum well structures for use as the active elements in optically pumped far infrared lasers are proposed. Optimization of the quantum well design and the effect of growth tolerances are investigated. A surface-loaded waveguide structure is proposed for mode control.
