Non-invasive excitation of meter-scale electric discharges in gas-filled hollow-core photonic crystal fibers
We introduce a novel non-invasive approach to excite electric gas discharges in hollowcore photonic crystal fibers based on external high voltage radio frequency excitation. We observe meter-scale plasma columns in neon and xenon mixed with helium.
