A straightforward synthesis of 3-acylphospholes
(Chemical Equation Presented) The reaction of 2,5-diphenylphospholide, first with acyl chlorides, then with tBuOK, provides a direct access to 3-acyl-2,5-diphenylphospholides via a 1H-, 2H-, 3H-phosphole equilibrium.
