Treason in an era of regime change: the case of the Habsburg monarchy
A study of how 'treason' was managed during the break-down of Austria-Hungary and in the early Successor States of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. The article indicates the strong elements of continuity in managing security threats within the loose framework of treason law and suggests the dangers when state authorities wielded treason law too arbitrarily.
