Amplified o-band WDM transmission using a Bi-Doped fibre amplifier

We demonstrate WDM transmission on both a coarse and dense spacing over 100km and 120km of SMF-28e, respectively, using mid-span amplification with a Bismuth-doped fibre amplifier exhibiting 7THz (42nm) of gain bandwidth. Negligible power penalties are observed for all signals.
