Investigating Factors in information assurance implementation: Towards developing an information assurance framework for eGovernment in Indonesia
The goals of electronic government (eGovernment) services are improving the availability and quality of services to enhance government services to the citizens. One way to achieve it is with the implementation of information assurance (IA) which the purpose is to minimise risks linked to information and systems and assuring business continuity in the time of accident. According to Indonesia eGovernment road map, the eGovernment implementation in Indonesia is still in the initial phase. So far, there is no study on IA implementation for eGovernment within Indonesian context. Therefore, study on developing a framework for implementation of IA in order to assist eGovernment realisation in Indonesia is needed. This study aims to construct an IA framework specifically for eGovernment, which is expected to assist the implementation of eGovernment in Indonesia. The framework had been reviewed by interviewing eight experts in the field of IA, eGovernment, and information security from various institutions in Indonesia. The findings showed that all the proposed factors of the framework are statistically significant. For subsequent work, confirmation of the proposed framework is planned to use the quantitative method.
