DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA
Data from the thesis above is split into two, each dataset relating to either the clinical or post-mortem study.
Cerebral inflammation in Dementia with Lewy bodies (CIDL) is supported by a dataset showing percentage protein loads of various markers of neuropathology and inflammation.
Data was collected by quantifying percentage stained using 'Image J' on digital images obtained of immunostained human brain tissue.
Systemic inflammation in Dementia with Lewy bodies and Alzheimer's disease (SILAD) is supportedby a dataset showing serum cytokine concentrations and peripheral blood mononuclear cell outcomes.
Data was collected using flow cytometry (for PBMC proportions) and Mesoscale multiplex immunoassay (for cytokine concentrations).
All data was analysed using SPSS statistical software. No specialist software is needed to view the data.
