Large-mode-area fiber with non-circular cores
A non-circular core Yb-doped fiber was fabricated inhouse. Nearly 200 W output power was obtained with this fiber in a linear cavity. The slope efficiency was 67°% The measured M x,y 2 was 1.5 and 3.1, respectively.
