High density few-mode multicore fibre amplifier for energy efficient SDM transmission
High density few-mode multicore fibre amplifier for energy efficient SDM transmission
We present an L-band 6-mode 7-core amplifier supporting 42-spatial channels with a new record low power consumption factor of 0.36 and demonstrate simultaneous amplified SDM transmission with the highest reported spatial density and energy efficiency.
