The conservative reaction to data-driven agency
The conservative reaction to data-driven agency
In this chapter we consider the conservative response to the world of data-driven agency and the ‘onlife world’. Even on the most simplistic understanding of conservatism – that is, a generalized opposition to change – it is apparent that conservatives will be deeply concerned about these technological developments. However, the task of understanding conservatives’ responses has a number of complications.
