READ ME FILE FOR 'Kepler Full Frame Images Source Extractor Results' Dataset DOI: https://doi.org/10.5258/SOTON/D1344 ReadMe Author: Michael Johnson, University of Southampton, ORCID-0000-0002-5566-6147 This dataset supports the thesis entitled "Improving the Quality of Astronomical Survey Data" AWARDED By: University of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2020 DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA This dataset contains: All data generated using SExtractor on Kepler FFIs which have been difference imaged to leave behind only the variable and transient objects. Kepler Settings used were all default except DETECT_THRESH = 7, MIN_AREA = 7, FILTER = default.conv Results show the output from SExtractor in a csv format Results include information on the brightness and position of transient and variable objects within the Kepler FFIs. The full set of objects are found within the combination of firsthalf.csv and secondhalf.csv Subsamples of this dataset are found in matchplus3Magdiff.csv, matchplus5Magdiff.csv, and matchSNabove10.csv which represent the subsamples with: at least a three magnitude increase in brightness between two Kepler images; at least a five magnitude increase in brightness between two Kepler images; a signal to noise ratio of 10 shown within the difference image.
