Hollow core photonic band gap fiber: structural and optical tolerance to preform irregularities
Low loss Hollow Core Photonic Bandgap Fibers require regular structures with high air filling fractions, in principle more susceptible to draw-induced distortions. We investigate their tolerances to fabrication imperfections and identify trade-offs and optimum structures.
