The College of Podiatry is a registered charity that promotes the benefit of Podiatry to the public. The College wants Podiatry to be recognised by the public, by fellow healthcare professionals, by policy-makers and commissioners of healthcare as being synonymous with foot health. The College promotes guidelines and standards of practice that are evidence based, ensuring patient safety and clinical effectiveness with a focus on outcomes. We campaign to raise awareness among the general public and government that good foot health is an essential component of quality of life, a key element of preventative medicine and a critical service to those with disabling foot pain and life threatening conditions such as diabetes and peripheral arterial disease.
