This Article provides an overview of the significant decisions of the Chinese courts, in particular the Supreme People's Court of China in 2020. It provides readers with an insight to the judicial practice in maritime law over this period in Mainland China. The judgments relate to carriage of goods by sea, marine insurance, burden of proof and force majeure. The source of those Chinese judgments is the database of China Judgement Online. In 2020, Chinese courts have delivered and published 10,695 maritime judgments in Chinese Judgments Online, 157 of which are from the Supreme People's Court.
