READ ME File For: Dataset for Sensitivity to haptic sound-localisation cues Dataset DOI: https://doi.org/10.5258/SOTON/D1665 ReadMe Author: Mark Fletcher, Auditory Implant Service, University of Southampton This dataset supports the publication: AUTHORS: Mark Fletcher, Jana Zgheib, & Samuel Perry TITLE: Haptic sound-localisation for use in cochlear implant and hearing-aid users JOURNAL: Scientific Reports This dataset contains CSV files titled "Fletcher_et_al_2020_Exp1Data.csv" and "Fletcher_et_al_2020_Exp2Data.csv". The "Fletcher_et_al_2020_Exp1Data.csv" file contains tactile time difference (TTD) in ms and tactile intensity difference (TID) thresholds in dB for each participant in the young and older groups for each stimulus type. The "Fletcher_et_al_2020_Exp2Data.csv" file contains tactile intensity difference (TID) thresholds in dB for each participant at each stimulus level (15, 20, 25, or 30 dB SL) and for each stimulus type (modulated or unmodulated). Detection thresholds in ms2 for the left and right wrists are also listed for each participant. Date of data collection: 2020-01-01 - 2020-03-03 All data was collected at the University of Southampton, U.K. The experimental protocol was approved by the University of Southampton Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences Ethics Committee (ERGO ID: 47769). All research was performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations. Licence: CC BY This file was created in December 2020.
