This dataset contains all the survey data used to generate the results included in the main text and
appendices of the PhD thesis 'Preferences for Air Quality Improvement in China: Evidence from Discrete Choice Experiments'

The dataset contain three main sub-dataset, with each representing the raw data of one of the surveyed samples (treatments) mentioned in the thesis. Data codes can be found in each excel document,

The first excel document ('Data for Treatment 1') contains the original data for Treatment 1 used in this thesis, including choice experiment data and demographic data;
The first excel document ('Data for Treatment 2') contains the original data for Treatment 2 used in this thesis, including choice experiment data and demographic data;
The first excel document ('Data for Treatment 3') contains the original data for Treatment 3 used in this thesis, including choice experiment data and demographic data;

Date of data collection: July 2018 - August 2018

Geographic location of data collection: through a survey platform 'Wenjuanwang'

Date that the file was created: December 2020.

Date that the file was revised: September 2022: we corrected some typos occurred in Question E2 and E9 in the datasets.
