Dynamic software in the teaching and learning of geometry: Selected papers from ICTMT-7
This first of four special issues of IJTME (a complete volume) showcases selected papers presented at the 7th International Conference on Technology and Mathematics Teaching (ICTMT-7) that took place in Bristol (England) in July 2005. The papers contained in this first special issue explore a number of aspects related to the use of dynamic software in the teaching and learning of geometry, including aspects of 2D and 3D geometry, transformations, vectors, and problem solving. Throughout the set of papers the authors reflect, in particular, on how new technological tools allow access to, and representation of, mathematical meanings that might otherwise be out of reach of the learner.
