Technologies in mathematics education
This workshop provides the opportunity for ‘new’ researchers to share their approaches to researching the use of technology in mathematics education. Themes for discussion in the workshop encompass the relation between the use of technology and students’ mathematical learning, the role of the teacher, the design of computer-based environments and of classroom tasks, and concerns of access and equity - with issues of suitable research questions, use of theoretical ideas, and methodological decisions, being considered across these themes.
