Contents +++++++++ All data used for plots, calculations and descriptions in the paper as titled above is included here. Folders are labelled with the Figure numbers in the manuscript followed by a descritption of the data contained and date. "Figure_3_High_refectivity_gratings_writing_raw_data" - Contains the raw data files taken from the optical spectrum analyser when measuring the reflectance of the written gratings in planar silica. This folder contains a background measurement taken as the reflection from an uncoupled fibre pigtail (BG_TE_F_00.dat). The other files are the reflection spectra of the written gratings, where 'TE' in the filename designates the polarisation of the coupled light, 'F' describes the direction of light propagation along the waveguide. "Figure_4_Fluence_n_effective_raw_data" - Contains the raw data files taken from the optical spectrum analyser when measuring the reflectance of the written gratings in the furnace consolidated chip. This folder contains a background measurement taken as the reflection from an uncoupled fibre pigtail (BG_TE_F_00.dat). The other files are the reflection spectra of the written gratings, where 'TE' in the filename designates the polarisation of the coupled light, 'F' describes the direction of light propagation along the waveguide, the remaining digits (01, 02...etc) designate the waveguide number. "n_effective_vs_fluence.xlsx" - Is a spreadsheet with the data of calculated n_effective against laser fluence plotted in figure 4. "Figure_5_detuning_writing_raw_data" - Contains the raw data files taken from the optical spectrum analyser when measuring the reflectance of the written gratings in planar silica. This folder contains a background measurement taken as the reflection from an uncoupled fibre pigtail (BG_TE_F_00.dat).
