The epidemiology and health care burden of chronic liver disease
This report addresses information on the burden of chronic liver disease (CLD) in the UK. There are four main aspects:
Section 1 Review of routine data and peer reviewed literature on CLD;
Section 2 National survey of information collection on CLD patients;
Section 3 Feasibility study of prospective ascertainment of new cases of CLD in Southampton General Hospital;
Section 4 Epidemiology of Liver Disease in Tayside (ELDIT).
