This dataset contains: Experimentally characterized and simulated data used in the following figures for heat spread from a heating element in Silicon photonics based Thermo-optics Phase shifter.

The figures are as follows:
Fig.6(a) Normalised transmission against electrical drive power for the three MZI with waveguide arm separations of 2um, 4um and 6um. 
Fig.6(b) Electrical power required for switching (2π phase shift) for the 3 different MZI with different arm separation.
