The interviews, which were audio recorded, lasted between 31.49 and 52.06 minutes. The deatils of each participant including the service in which they were treated are outlined below: Service A-Group-Individual work-Phone coaching-Parent/carer group Vicky 17 15 weeks in DBT and continuing Sam 17 13 weeks in DBT and continuing Philippa16 16 weeks in DBT completed three months prior Service B-Group -Individual work Kirsty 18 16 weeks in DBT completed one month prior Service C-Group only Tara 18 16 weeks in DBT completed two weeks prior Rachel 17 16 weeks in DBT completed two weeks prior Service D-Group-Individual work-Phone coaching Louise 22 six months in DBT and continuing The audio recordings were transcribed and analysed using the Interpretative Phenomenological Anaysis as outlined by Smith, J. A., Flowers, P. and Larkin, M.
