New therapeutic indications for Cys-LT1 antagonists: Atopic dermatitis and urticaria

New therapeutic indications for Cys-LT1 antagonists: Atopic dermatitis and urticaria
New therapeutic indications for Cys-LT1 antagonists: Atopic dermatitis and urticaria
Atopic dermatitis and urticaria are different patterns of cutaneous inflammatory reaction. While both often occur together in atopic individuals, when they are thought to have an allergic basis, there are many subtypes of urticaria that are not associated with allergy. Therefore, it is somewhat artificial to consider the two conditions together. Consequently, in this paper they will be considered separately.

Abstract

Atopic dermatitis and urticaria are different patterns of cutaneous inflammatory reaction. While both often occur together in atopic individuals, when they are thought to have an allergic basis, there are many subtypes of urticaria that are not associated with allergy. Therefore, it is somewhat artificial to consider the two conditions together. Consequently, in this paper they will be considered separately.
