READ ME File For the dataset for Authoring Multimedia Artefacts (AMA) in the Context of Initial English Language Teacher Education (IELTE) Dataset DOI: 10.5258/SOTON/D2239 ReadMe Author: Abdullah Said Hamed Alhasani, University of Southampton ORCID ID 0000-0001-9847-6290 This dataset supports the thesis entitled: An Exploratory Study of the Pedagogical Perspective of Authoring Multimedia Artefacts (AMA) in the Context of Initial English Language Teacher Education (IELTE) in Oman AWARDED BY: University of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2022 DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA The data contained in this dataset include raw data drawn from questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and learner journal entries. The questionnaires were administered in person with 53 IELTE students and 3 IELTE teachers. For easy access, the raw questionnaire data are viewable in an Excel file format. As for the interview data, they were drawn from face-to-face semi-structured interviews administered with 19 IELTE students and 3 teachers. The interview scripts are made available in a Microsoft word document (docx) format. Finally, data from journals entries were drawn from two groups of IELTE students. These were obtained as anonymous records from the course instructor. These are also viewable in a Microsoft word document (docx) format. This dataset contain: 1. Questionnaire raw data in Excel and copies of instruments. 2. Interview raw data transcripts, copies of instruments, copies of Consent Forms, and copies of Participant Information Sheets (PIS). 3. Reflective journal entries raw data.
