The [delta]I=1/2 rule and non-pertubative renormalisation in lattice QCD
The [delta]I=1/2 rule and non-pertubative renormalisation in lattice QCD

Lattice field theory and the formalism of Non-perturbative Improvement are outlined. Techniques are developed that, in principle, allow the non-perturbative determination of all the O(α) improvement coefficients for the fermion bilinear operators. The results of a pilot numerical study of this technique are presented.

A review of the problems involved in calculating the non-leptonic decay K → ππ using Lattice QCD is given. Several new techniques to overcome these problems are outlined.

Abstract

Lattice field theory and the formalism of Non-perturbative Improvement are outlined. Techniques are developed that, in principle, allow the non-perturbative determination of all the O(α) improvement coefficients for the fermion bilinear operators. The results of a pilot numerical study of this technique are presented.

A review of the problems involved in calculating the non-leptonic decay K → ππ using Lattice QCD is given. Several new techniques to overcome these problems are outlined.
