Commercial agreements and trade association practice and procedure in EEC and UK competition law

Commercial agreements and trade association practice and procedure in EEC and UK competition law
Commercial agreements and trade association practice and procedure in EEC and UK competition law

This study seeks to examine and chronicle the practice and procedure relating to commercial agreements and trade association practices in EEC and UK Competition laws. In particular emphasis is given to the imformal solution of cases rather than the formal solution of cases by administrative or judicial decision. Statistics demonstrate that the vast majority of cases receive informal rather than formal treatment. The work, and in particular Part II, is comparative considering individual agreements and practices from both the EEC and UK perspectives. With respect to the latter body of law evidence has been derived from cases entered on the Register of Restrictive Trade Practices and cases dealt with by various Government departments under other legislation. Very little of this material has been published. (D73015/87)
