Abstract

By harnessing mechanical and optical resonances in tandemone can enhance the magnitude of actuation and opticalresponse in dynamically reconfigurable nanostructuresdriven by microwatt optical signals and low-intensityacoustic vibrations. We review recent work on structuresexhibiting profound opto-mechanical nonlinearity andbistability.
