The method for obtaining the data is described in the methods section of my thesis. This dataset contains: The following parameters: mcRun - the Monte Carlo iteration number (output parameter) trapCode - the sediment trap code in COMICS I (input parameter) sinkingSpeed - the particle sinking speed (input parameter) lonCapture - the longitude where the particle was captured (output parameter - interpolation between trapLonIn and trapLonOut) latCapture - the latitude where the particle was captured (output parameter - interpolation between trapLatIn and trapLatOut) depthCapture - the depth where the particule was captured (input parameter) timeCapture - the datetime when the particule was captured (input parameter) lonMLD - the longitude of the intercept between the particle trajectory and the base of the mixed layer (output parameter - corresponds to a point in the statistical funnel) latMLD - the latitude of the intercept between the particle trajectory and the base of the mixed layer (output parameter - corresponds to a point in the statistical funnel) depthMLD - the depth of the base of the mixed layer (input parameter - interpolated between grid points) timeMLD - the datetime when the particle left the base of the mixed layer (output parameter) trapLonIn - the longitude the trap left the surface (input parameter) trapLatIn - the latitude the trap left the surface (input parameter) trapLonOut - the longitude the trap surfaced after sampling (input parameter) trapLatOut - the latitude the trap surfaced after sampling (input parameter) Datetime formats is 'dd-Mmm-yyyy hh:mm:ss' in the local time zone in the 24h format, for example: '27-Oct-1984 09:00:00' corresponds to 27 October 1984, 9am.
