High gain bi-doped fiber amplifier operating in the e-band with a 3-dB bandwidth of 40nm

We report a double-pass bismuth-doped fiber amplifier operating in the E-band providing 38dB gain with 6dB NF for -23dBm input signal at 1430nm. The amplifier 3-dB bandwidth and temperature-dependent-gain coefficient are 40nm and -0.006dB/deg, respectively.

Abstract

We report a double-pass bismuth-doped fiber amplifier operating in the E-band providing 38dB gain with 6dB NF for -23dBm input signal at 1430nm. The amplifier 3-dB bandwidth and temperature-dependent-gain coefficient are 40nm and -0.006dB/deg, respectively.
