Goal: This work is part of a large European collaboration: The CO2EXIDE Project, where we are working towards an energy efficient and near carbon neutral synthetic route for producing ethylene oxide from carbon dioxide, water and green energy sources. This a large-scale effort requiring optimisation of catalyst materials, reactor designs and purification technologies. This section of the project focuses on carbon dioxide catalysis, creating novel electrode structures, materials and designs in order to selectively produce ethylene as the major carbon dioxide reduction project.

Abstract

Goal: This work is part of a large European collaboration: The CO2EXIDE Project, where we are working towards an energy efficient and near carbon neutral synthetic route for producing ethylene oxide from carbon dioxide, water and green energy sources. This a large-scale effort requiring optimisation of catalyst materials, reactor designs and purification technologies. This section of the project focuses on carbon dioxide catalysis, creating novel electrode structures, materials and designs in order to selectively produce ethylene as the major carbon dioxide reduction project.
