DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA:

Three different files are available containing data used in the anlysis of the thesis: Impact of landscape of honey bee pollen diet, pesticide exposure
and cognition. These files are:
 	
	Bee_Learning_Memory
	Pollen_LandscapeMetrics
	Hive_Pollen_Network

Each of the above are described below:

Bee_Learning_Memory

This file contains the data used in Chapter 5 of thesis. In contains bee learning data and landscape metrics for UK sites.
Time = The time of data the bees were collected, either morning or afternoon,
Date = The date the bees were collected and tested,
Trail 1-5 = The trail number. 1 = the first trail, 5 = the last trail. 1 = a positive learning response. 0 = a negative learning response,
GPS X = X coordinate of the site,
GPS Y = Y coordinate of the site,
Site N = Site number,
Bee T N = Honey bee total number tested (all sites),
Landscape Diversity = Landscape Diversity of the site,
Total Edge = Total Edge of the site,
Agriculture Hectares = Hectares squared of agriculture within site radius,
Broadleave Hectares = Hectares squared of broadleave within site radius,
Total Woodland = Hectares squared of woodland within site radius,
Average Patch = Average Patch size within site radius,
Edge density = Edge Density within site radius,
Cohesion = Cohesion within site radius,
Urban = Urban habitat within site radius.

Hive_Pollen_Network

This file contains the data used in Chapters 2 and 3 of the thesis. It contains the pollen species data for each hive.
This file is a matrix, with the row representing each bee hive and the columns representing each species of pollen.
Some examples: S1.1 = Site 1, hive 1. S2.1 = Site 2, hive 1. S2.2 = Site 2, hive 2. 

Pollen_LandscapeMetrics

This files contains the date used in Chapter 3. This is the landscape metrics data relating to each site, as well as pollen richness and diversity for each hive.
Site = Site number,
Hive = Hive number,
Location = Location, Toledo or Cayo (T vs C),
Pollen species Richness = Pollen species richness per hive,
Pollen Diversity = Pollen species diversity per hive,
Date pollen collected = The date the pollen was collected,
Shannon Diversity = Shannon Diversity of landscape at 1km, 2km, 5km and 10km,
Total Edge = Total edge (H) of landscape at 1km, 2km, 5km and 10km,
Forest Edge = Forest edge (H) of landscape at 1km, 2km, 5km and 10km,
Percentage Forest = Percentage Forest in landscape at 1km, 2km, 5km and 10km,
Percentage Agriculture = Percentage Agriculture in landscape at 1km, 2km, 5km and 10km,
Average Patch = Average Patch size in landscape at 1km, 2km, 5km and 10km.

Date of data collection: 2018-2021
Information about geograhic location of data collection is included in the files. Data was collected in Toledo and Cayo Belize, as well as Hampshire,UK.
